Meetings
All TCAM meetings (except some special events) are open to all TCAM members and guests. If you are interested in joining TCAM, please feel free to attend one of our meetings to check us out. The dates and places of all meetings are subject to change, so this site will be updated as changes are made. TCAM holds different types of meetings described below. The general guidelines for how we schedule meetings are described, but please note there are often exceptions. Please check our calendar for the actual scheduled dates for our meetings. TCAM has Regular Meetings of members scheduled for 6:00 p.m. on the last (usually) Monday of odd-numbered months (January, March, May, July, and September). Regular Meetings feature a speaker or program of interest to mediators and also allow members and guests to network and socialize. These meetings are scheduled to be held at Texas Wesleyan University School of Law (1515 Commerce Street, Fort Worth, Texas 76102) (telephone: 817-212-4000, Metro 817-429-8050, or 1-800-733-9529). TCAM's Annual Meeting of members is scheduled for at 6:00 p.m. usually on the last Monday of November (but for 2010, it will be on November 22 in order to avoid conflict with the Thanksgiving holiday). The Annual Meeting also features a speaker or program of interest to mediators as well as voting for TCAM officers and directors. This meeting is scheduled to be held at Texas Wesleyan University School of Law (1515 Commerce Street, Fort Worth, Texas 76102) (telephone: 817-212-4000, Metro 817-429-8050, or 1-800-733-9529). In the past, TCAM had scheduled informal Roundtable Meetings at 6:00 p.m. on the second (usually) Thursday of even-numbered months (February, April, June, August, and October-but usually not in December). These informal dinner meetings were attended by experienced mediators who shared their wisdom with less-experienced mediators. In 2010, the TCAM Board will consider whether to resume these meetings. Please let us know if you are interested in reviving TCAM's Roundtable Meetings. TCAM Board Meetings are scheduled for 6:30 p.m. on the last Monday of even-numbered months (February, April, June, August, and October-but not in December). Board Meetings are open to all TCAM members and guests and are for the purpose of making decisions about the business of TCAM. Sometimes additional Board Meetings are held immediately before or after Regular Meetings. Regular Board Meetings are scheduled to be held at Texas Wesleyan University School of Law (1515 Commerce Street, Fort Worth, Texas 76102) (telephone: 817-212-4000, Metro 817-429-8050, or 1-800-733-9529). TCAM occasionally has Special Meetings, events, or seminars. Sometimes there are admission charges for Special Meetings or events.
