Meetings
All TCAM meetings (except some special events) are open to all TCAM members and guests. If you are interested in joining TCAM, please feel free to attend one of our meetings to check us out. The dates and places of all meetings are subject to change. Location/Meals Until further notice, TCAM meetings are held in downtown Fort Worth, Texas, at Texas Wesleyan University School of Law (click on their link for directions to the law school) 1515 Commerce Street, Fort Worth, Texas 76102 (telephone: 817-212-4000, Metro 817-429-8050, or 1-800-733-9529). You may park on the street or in one of the law school's parking lots: A, B, or C - just not in a space reserved for the faculty. We usually meet in the large conference room on the second floor--all the way down the hall to the back of the building. The law school is in a nice part of downtown, is easy to get to, and provides a professional atmosphere for our meetings. TCAM has received permission to bring food to our meetings at the law school provided that we clean up afterward. Meetings of Members sometimes include a pot-luck meal or a catered meal. If a meeting is catered, you must promise to pay and make reservations in advance in order to get a catered meal. At any meeting, you are also always welcome to bring your own food. Types of Meetings TCAM holds different types of meetings described below. The general guidelines for how we schedule meetings are described, but please note there are often exceptions due to holidays, etc. Please check our calendar for the actual scheduled dates for our meetings. Meetings of Members Beginning after the May 21, 2012, meeting, the TCAM Board of Directors will schedule one meeting of members during each quarter of the year. Regular Meetings of members are scheduled for 6:00 p.m. usually on the last Monday of January, April, and August. Regular Meetings feature a speaker or program of interest to mediators and also allow members and guests to network and socialize. These meetings are scheduled to be held at Texas Wesleyan University School of Law. Annual Meeting of Members TCAM's Annual Meeting of members is scheduled in November at 6:00 p.m. usually on the Monday before Thanksgiving. The Annual Meeting features a speaker or program of interest to mediators as well as voting for TCAM officers and directors. This meeting is scheduled to be held at Texas Wesleyan University School of Law. Meetings of the Board TCAM Board Meetings are usually scheduled for 6:30 p.m. as follows: two weeks before the last Monday of January; on the last Monday of March, July, and September; and also at 6:00 p.m. on the date of the Annual Meeting in November. Board Meetings are open to all TCAM members and their guests and are for the purpose of making decisions about the business of TCAM. Sometimes additional Board Meetings are held immediately before or after Meetings of Members. Regular Board Meetings are scheduled to be held at Texas Wesleyan University School of Law. Special Meetings TCAM sometimes also schedules Special Meetings: Round-Table meetings, events, or seminars--and sometimes a Holiday Party in December.
